Les Vixens Audition Info
Hi sweet angel babes! We're so excited about bringing on a fresh face to our team! Thank you for your interest in joining the Les Vixens. We are looking for someone very specific; if you don't fit our requirements, please know you are still valid as a performer, person, and we honor & respect your art.

In full transparency, we have a very full team and we haven't had an audition in YEARS - our team is like a family. Each performer is part of the fabric of the Vixens - we wouldn't be the Les Vixens without the magic of each entertainer, both past and present. That being said, we are very protective of that magic. Whoever we bring onto the team will need to understand that.

​Additionally, whoever joins the team will have a probation period of 90 days before being put into the regular rotation on the schedule. You will be getting gigs - but on a trial schedule at first.
​
We are looking to add ONE new performer to the team. That may change based on the audition, but that is our intention. :)
​
This audition is open to performers ages 21+.

QUEER CUTIES
The Les Vixens are a queer burlesque troupe. Therefore, you must identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community for us to maintain our sapphic authenticity.

FULL PACKAGE
We are looking for a performer who has it all, ready to rock! That means someone who can create their own costuming, design full-scale production acts (for our larger, themed production shows), can perform to different styles of music, and who can go-go dance AND do burlesque.
​
We are not just burlesque performers but also go-go dancers. While all body types are welcome, applicants will need to be physically fit and able to dance for long periods of time (e.g. for Girl the Party, we go-go dance for an hour+). We are athletes and athleticism is required.

Please also have a persona & stage name ready. You can use your government name if you feel that fits with who you are as an artist, but we are looking for someone who has a full performer identity - style, costuming, music, makeup, hair - all aligned with that identity. (as artists, we always grow and evolve, of course, but we want to see someone who knows who they are!)

FEMME FORWARD
Auditions are open to femme-presenting people who identify as women and/or non-binary. Masc babes and drag performers — we see you, we love you, we respect you and your art — but this time, we are focusing on femme burlesque.

GLITTER GRIND
Applicants will need to be able to travel, have reliable transportation, and be willing to travel long distances to gigs. We are EVERYWHERE - all over the state of Florida and beyond. Applicants will be required to provide their own transportation to events and gigs.
AUDITION PROCESS
PREPARE
The audition will be held at
Southern Nights Orlando
375 S. Bumby Ave
8-10pm
Please arrive on time, no later than 8pm.
Southern will be open at 7pm for you.

PLEASE ARRIVE WITH THE FOLLOWING:

★ Hair & make-up done
★ 1 go-go outfit with go-go boots/heels
★ 1 solo burlesque routine outfit, including pasties & burlesque heels
​
You will have a dressing area to get changed into your lewks - but please come as ready as possible! Feel free to bring a full-length mirror as there may not be any available at the time of the audition.
GO-GO ROUND
We will start with the go-go round. You will be separated into groups, and will freestyle dance on stage in front of a panel of judges made up of Vixens and Vixen staff, and an audience. The audition will be open to the public so you will be dancing and performing in front of a live audience! We know that ups the ante on nerves, but you're a STAR! So show that crowd who you are!

The music will change genres throughout this section of the audition, and we will be able to see your stage presence, dance and freestyle skills, go-go power, crowd interaction mastery, and ability to stand out to us. This is a major elimination round and many applicants will be sent home at this stage. The panel of judges will determine who will move on to the next round.
SOLO ROUND
If you make it through the go-go elimination, you will be asked to perform your solo burlesque routine. We will use Spotify to play your track - please keep it no longer than 4 minutes (a few seconds over is okay). In the registration form below, include your track name and artist as it appears in a Spotify search.
